If student receives log in error when launching an app

3 Steps:

1. Reports > monitor ip add
   Reports > Web Activity > IP address of device > Apply > Web Activity > Ask student to exit and reopen app 
   
   
2. Find out if in blocked category & unblock. put in local "allow" list:
   Search to see if website is in the block category.
   Web filter (top bottom) > Proxy server (side column) > SSL Exclusions > Add SSL exclusion button > save
   
   
3. Add to SSL Exclusion (after ensuring not blocked)

  1. Check if blocked and unblock:

  • Web filter - categorized sites - search url - make sure not blocked - add to local-allow if necessary

  2. Add to SSL exclusion

  • Web filter - Proxy Server - Add SSL Decryption Exclusion 
  • ONLY ADD PRIMARY DOMAIN, NOT SUB-DOMAINS (Sub domains will crash proxy)

  3. Monitor web activity

  • Reports - web activity - ip address 
  • See if multiple sites are blocked or need SSL exclusion

  4. Proxy not working?

  • support tools(top left) -  processes - services - "squid" (bottom) service must be running
  • try start or restart
  • Call lightspeed support: 800-444-9267
