Can my hardware run a virtual environment?
1. CPU must have vitual feature and enabled in bios
-Some older machines support virtualization but do not have hardware assisted virtualization (VT-d or VT-x) and will run slower than a physically installed machines. (Example 116 as of 9/25/2014) Ideally, we don't want to virtualize machines without full VT technology and should not buy machines without it.
More about VT:
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/virtualization/virtualization-technology/intel-virtualization-technology.html
2. How to determine if a machine has VT (d/x) technology (Hardware assisted virtualization)
-Run cpu-z and find processor info on http://ark.intel.com/products/46472/Intel-Core-i3-530-Processor-4M-Cache-2_93-GHz (google search/Ark results)
-or Intel(R) Processor Identification Utility
*Utilities available on the apps drive
3. Check the hardware for compatibility with Citrix XENClient on their HCL (Hardware Compatibility list)
